Rocket Jump (“we”, “us”) runs rocket-jump.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we collect only what you send us through the contact form, we use it to reply, and we don’t sell it or use it for advertising.
What we collect
When you contact us. The project form asks for your name, email address, company (optional), a budget range and timeline (optional), and a description of your problem. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in your message.
Technical data. Like any website, our servers receive your IP address and basic request details (such as browser type and the page requested) when you visit. We use IP addresses briefly to limit abusive form submissions, and our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs for security and reliability.
What we don’t collect. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts, images and video are served from our own domain, so visiting does not send your data to third-party content networks.
Client portal
Clients we work with can sign in to Mission Control at app.rocket-jump.com to follow their project. For portal users we keep your name and email address, the project content we share with you (updates, decisions, approvals and budget figures), files you or we upload, your responses to approvals, and a record of activity such as when you sign in or approve something. Sign-in uses one-time links sent by email, so we never store a password.
The portal sets a single essential cookie that keeps you signed in. It isn’t used for tracking or advertising. Portal access is invite-only, and each client can see only their own projects.
How we use it
- To read and reply to your enquiry, and to send you an automatic confirmation that we received it.
- To discuss, scope and deliver work you ask us about.
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam or abuse.
We don’t add you to a mailing list or newsletter, and we don’t sell, rent or share your information for anyone else’s marketing.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers, who handle data only to provide their service to us:
- Fly.io hosts the website, the client portal and its encrypted storage (including uploaded files and backups) in the United States.
- Resend delivers form submissions, confirmation emails and portal emails (sign-in links, project updates and approval requests).
- Our email provider stores the messages we receive and send.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and, if we work together, for the length of that relationship and any records we’re legally required to keep. Portal data is kept for the life of the project and the relationship; when it ends, we delete it on request, and it ages out of our rolling 14-day backups. If we don’t end up working together, you can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California), you may have these rights under law; we extend them to everyone. Email hello@rocket-jump.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely on your request (to reply to an enquiry you sent) and our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and we limit access to enquiries to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send passwords, payment details or other highly sensitive information through the form.
Children
The site is meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 16; if you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will be noted here before they take effect.
